Salesforce Financial Services Cloud: what the package does, and where it stops.
FSC gives you households, financial accounts and relationship roles out of the box. It does not give you custodian data, referral programmes, reporting a CFO can check, or a way around the limits of a managed package. That second list is what we build, in three named wealth and lending firms.
Alterra Advisors · 49 Financial · GoodLeap · reviews on Clutch: 5.0
Three things the package gets right, if the data model is set up for your firm.
Households and relationships
Person Accounts, Households, Account-Contact Relations, Financial Accounts. The model exists; at Alterra we reworked it so household naming and member roles stayed in sync instead of drifting.
Action plans and compliance cadences
Onboarding, KYC review, service levels as Flows with owners and dates. At 49 Financial, onboarding and compliance review moved from partly manual to automated; onboarding time fell 40%.
Role-based views for advisers and loan officers
One client view for advisers, dynamic call scripting and priority queues for loan officers. Adoption follows when the screen matches the job.
Four limits every FSC firm hits. What we build around each.
Not hacks inside the package. A documented layer around it that any partner after us can read.
- 01
Custodian data
Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing feeds do not arrive as FSC objects. Event-driven integration with Platform Events and Change Data Capture, so 100% of custodian data landed in one client view at 49 Financial without recursion against the package's own triggers.
- 02
Managed packages: Salentica and friends
Field limits, storage limits, automation you cannot change. Child and external objects for the high-volume data, and the package left intact. No lock-in: the firm keeps the accelerators and the flexibility.
- 03
Referral and advocate programmes
FSC has Referrals; it does not have your tiers, points, cadences and conversion rules. At Alterra: origin and owner routing, stage movement, task cadences, tier progression, dashboards. Zero critical errors after deployment.

Reporting a CFO can check
AUM, pipeline and compliance cadence on one dashboard, real-time, instead of a spreadsheet someone updates on Friday. Built on clean household data, which is why the data work comes first.
